Delivery Timescales

Orders with priority delivery will be delivered in 2-3 days. Our standard delivery charges start at just £14.99 and covers a 2-5 working day delivery service.

Delivery charges are calculated by weight of the product and the location where delivery is to be made

We deliver across mainland UK and with this service you can request a weekday delivery date of your preference (excluding weekends and bank holidays), from a minimum of 5 working days from the date you place your order.

Please note that 4pm is our cut off time and after this time your order will be processed on the next working day. Working days are classed as Monday - Friday and do not include bank holidays. All order placed at weekends will be processed on the next working day. Example, An Express order placed on a Saturday will be processed on Monday (the next working day) and will be delivered on Wednesday or Thursday, 2-3 working days from Monday. 


Free Delivery

For larger orders over £299 inc VAT we offer free standard delivery.

Our deliveries are made between the hours of 8AM - 6PM, if you cannot be in during the delivery timescale, your order will be left in a safe place at the address. If this is a problem, please notify us at the time of placing the order using the notes.

Your chosen delivery dates are upheld where possible. In such circumstances where this can’t be adhered to, a member of our customer service team will contact you to arrange a new convenient day or time for you.

You will receive an email and a text message a day before your order is due for delivery. 

We advise all customers not to book a fitter for their skirting board until they have received delivery and are happy with their order.

If our standard delivery timescale can't be achieved, the customer service team will contact you in advance. If you have any questions regarding delivery, please call our friendly staff on 01527 868 893.

Please note we can't be held responsible for deliveries that arrive damaged due to our courier partners. However, replacements will be provided free of charge.

Delivery to Highlands/Northern Ireland/Off-shore

Please note that the standard timescale doesn't apply to any order(s) delivered outside mainland UK. Metres Direct can't be held responsible for any delays to these areas. 



Delivery Terms

The delivery schedule is upheld wherever possible, and deliveries are typically completed between 8am – 6pm

Delivery is made to the ground floor only and is access permitting. All deliveries are typically made one-man and as such the service is a curbside delivery. 

Delivery is to a ground floor location, access permitting and is a one-man, curbside-only delivery. Please be advised that due to the nature of our products and this being a one-man delivery, you may need to provide additional assistance to help the driver unload the goods.

Your order will be delivered by either our fleet of vans or our selected courier partners. 

Any deliveries made without a signature are made at the risk of the purchaser and we cannot process any claims with our delivery partners when deliveries have been made without a signature. It is the customer's responsibility to be present at the delivery address on the agreed date of the delivery.

If you have not advised us that you will not be and no alternative arrangements have been made for delivery the order will be left at the delivery address without a signature and in a safe place. Photographic evidence of the delivery will be used.
